I always need to remind myself that if I want to enjoy a day but am uncertain what to do, I should proceed directly to the Farmer's Market.
I ate a whole pound of cherry tomatoes, dirt and all, while selecting other produce.
We made a dinner from our finds and ate it outside in this gorgeous weather.
This is the sweetest little peach I saw all day, though:

I love the farmers market. I am so sad that in Minnesota, that season is quickly coming to an end. I can't think of a more wonderful way to spend a morning than wondering the aisles of our farmer's market. I even bought the flowers for my wedding at our local market... ahhh.
And that little one is really sweet.
A.
I love that you carried wildflowers. My wedding was full of them too.
If you're ever interested, Deborah Madison has a wonderful book about Farmers Market cooking called Local Flavors. Really nice.
What a little pumpkin!
Kansas City has several farmer's markets. Most of them are a little ways from our house but we do have the organic market right down the street. But this year it was pretty small and they sold mostly soaps and worms.
I just got the Santa Monica Farmers' Market cookbook, which gives recipes for each season here in southern California. Can't wait to plan our menu around the market some more. Your photos are yummy...especially that last little peach!
